Climbing Sigiriya Rock Climb Sigiriya Rock - An Experience You'll Never Forget

A Climb to Remember Sigiriya Sri Lanka

It's a lot easier than climbing sixty flights of steps in a building. There are steps all the way to the top; some of which are very narrow and steep. When you climb take your time, rest often and drink lots of water. Proper footwear is strongly recommenced. The best times to climb are early morning and late afternoon.

Once on the summit you will see the ruins of the Sky Palace and a breathtaking 360-degree panorama of the surrounding countryside. To the west are the Royal Gardens. Pidurangala Rock is to the north. To the south are the Sigiriya Wewa and Mapagala Rock. To east is forested area of the Eastern Precinct.
