Echidna Swimming Video Echidna Enjoying a Swim

Echidnas are good swimmers. They are known to journey to their favourite watering-holes for an occasional dip.

The echidna actually swims with its head underwater, only lifting its beak above water when it need to take a breath.

Like most quadrupeds (four legged animals) the echidna uses a dog paddling stroke.
